Mass grave discovered 4 km east of Tabqa

ISIS gangs killed and buried more than 200 civilians in a mass grave, and played ball with their heads.

More cases of ISIS savagery emerge during the search and sweep efforts conducted since the liberation of Tabqa town from ISIS on May 10. A mass grave where dozens of civilians were buried has been discovered in an area 4 km east of Tabqa.

A local that witnessed the massacre at the mass grave spoke to ANHA.

Asking to be mentioned anonymous for security reasons, the witness stated that ISIS members beheaded most of the civilians whom they put in this mass grave which they covered with some soil afterwards.

The witness said “ISIS gangs massacred hundreds of civilians when they occupied Tabqa. The gangs would bury the bodies of the people they beheaded and carry the heads with them.”

The eyewitness stated hundreds of regime soldiers were killed following the ISIS occupation of the Tabqa Airport, and said “One day the gangs brought 270 bodies without heads. Then they tied the bodies behind their cars and dragged on the ground as they drove around the town. They played ball with the heads of the people they publicly executed. Then they threw the bodies here and covered them with soil.”

The witness noted that ISIS gangs also beheaded 13 civilians in Safsafah village and buried their bodies too in this mass grave.
