The legal team of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan has again submitted a request for a visit to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa. The lawyers Newroz Uysal, Faik Özgür Erol, Cengiz Yürekli and Mazlum Dinç intend to visit their client on Friday.

Since the last visit of the lawyers on August 7, 2019, each of the 99 requests for lawyers’ visit have been ignored by the authorities. Previously, the authorities had always used new pretexts such as a defect in the ferry or adverse weather conditions to prevent visits to Abdullah Öcalan.

The isolation is intended to cut off the Kurdish mastermind from the public. Öcalan is recognized as a representative by millions of Kurds and is considered a key figure for a peaceful solution of the Kurdish question and the question of democracy in Turkey and the Middle East.
