Lagarde: Turkey-France match should be canceled

French deputy Lagarde calls for match with Turkey to be canceled.

Jean-Christophe Lagarde, president of the UDI party and deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis has called for the canceling of the match between France and Turkey scheduled at the Stade de France tonight, Monday.

Lagarde posted on his Twitter account: "With the military salute [at the match with Albania], the Turkish football team has unfortunately broken the line that must separate sport from politics.

We can not welcome tomorrow at the Stade de France those who salute the massacre of our Kurdish allies!"

At the Euro 2020 match with Albania, Turkish players stood doing the military salute.
