Kurds take to the streets in Europe: The Time of freedom has come

Kurds in Europe kicked start the "End isolation, fascism, occupation; Time to ensure freedom" campaign in many cities.

The isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan was protested by activists in many European cities. Activists also demanded the freedom of Öcalan.

OSLO

KCD Oslo and UngKurd youth organised the Time to ensure freedom action attended by Kurds and Norwegians.

The action held in front of the Norwegian Parliament.

Speaking on behalf of the UngKurd youth, Endam Aso said that, on the 40th anniversary of 12 September 1980 coup, the AKP / MHP state is carrying out the same fascistic mentality today.

DARMSTADT

An action was also held in Darmstadt and was also joined by activists from Mannheim.

Hundreds of people joined the march in the busiest streets of the city.

A rally was held after the march.

Despite provocation attempts by fascists and German police, Kurds and their friends held the rally.

Speaking on behalf of the Darmstadt People's Assembly, Mehmet Çopan said: "We will be in the streets every day for the freedom of President Öcalan."

Murside Oltan made a speech on behalf of KOMAW and saluted the Heftanin's resistance.

COPENHAGEN

The freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan was demanded with an action organized in Copenhagen.

Kurds and their friends joined the action organized by Sêvê Women's Council, Socialist Revolutionaries, Antifascist Action Group and Stutthof Horserød Association.

Nikolaj Lohman gave a speech on behalf of the Socialist Revolutionaries.

Lohman saluted the Kurdish Freedom Movement and the revolutionary struggle and said that the Turkish state derives its power from NATO and the EU.

Lohman also condemned the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Ehwen Ciyayi made a speech on behalf of the PJAK Danish Committee.

A march was held in Paris organized by CDK-F at République Square.

A rally was held in Bastille Square. Murat Ceylan made a speech on behalf of CDK-F at the rally.

ZURICH

Activists in Zurich protested the anniversary of the 12 September 1980 fascist coup.

Swiss Union of Democratic Forces (İDGB) organised the march which was attended by hundreds of left, socialist, patriotic people came together in Helvetiaplatz.
