Kurdish activist Tuzak remains in hospital

After Öcalan's call, Mele Mustafa Tuzak, who was on hunger strike with three other activists in Berlin, was taken to hospital and treated.

Four Kurdish activists in Berlin were on hunger strike demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı.

Ömer Bağdur, Cemal Kobanê, Şiyar Xelil and Mele Mustafa Tuzle called off their action on Sunday, like all hunger strikers.

Mele Mustafa Tuzak ended his action after 134 days, while Şiyar Xelil ended after 121 days and Cemal Kobanê and Ömer Bağdur after 118 days. Tuzak had experienced severe weight loss and was taken to hospital. Tuzak has lost 23 kg and now weights only 44 kilograms. He had been on hunger strike since 13 January and has been experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, blood loss and heart spasm in recent days.
