KCK: Xiziri's execution is politically motivated

Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) says the execution of Kurdish activist Huseyin Xiziri in Iran is politically motivated and will only worsen the situation in the country.

KCK issued a written statement after the execution of Xiziri's death sentence saying that the incident will have a negative impact on siz month old tacit ceasefire between PJAK guerrillas and Iranian army.

The statement said these development shows Iran's intention to break the ceasefire and Tahran regime will not be able to crash Kurdish people's freedom and democracy demand with execution of Kurdish youths.

KCK underlined the fact that Kurdish parties will continue to seek peaceful ways to end the conflict in Iran and called PJAK to keep its forces in self defence position.

KCK also called Iran to immediately halt execution of Kurdish political prisoners and abandon violent policies against Kurdish people in Eastern Kurdistan.

The organization declared Xiziri a martyr and called all Kurdish youths to join Kurdish democracy and freedom struggle in his memory.
