"We are saddened to hear the death of Essa Moosa -lawyer for great revolutionary, leader of South African democratic revolution Nelson Mandela, one of the leaders of the struggle against racism in Africa- who is an invaluable friend of the Kurdish Leader and people. We offer our condolences to the family and friends of Moosa and to the people of South Africa.

Essa Moosa was not only a lawyer for Nelson Mandela but also one of the militants of the struggle against the Apartheid regime in South Africa. He greatly contributed to the struggle for democracy in South Africa. This great revolutionary democrat from South Africa has always supported the freedom struggle of Kurdish people. He has been one of the most important spokespersons of Kurdish people in the international arena. With his great love, respect and friendship for Leader Öcalan, he worked towards ensuring his freedom and spreading his thoughts. Despite his illness, he defended and spoke for Leader Öcalan until his last breath.

As a friend of the Kurdish people and Leader Apo, Essa Moosa will never be forgotten. He will be a bridge of friendship between the Kurdish people and the people of South Africa and other peoples in Africa. He will always live on in the Kurdish people's struggle for freedom and democracy, and their free and democratic life. Essa Moosa will live in the hearts of Kurdish people as their eternal friend.

We commemorate Essa Moosa, who did not only defend Leader Öcalan legally but also advocated his thoughts and struggle, and we reiterate our promise to defend the values he advocated for humanity, democracy, freedom and fraternity of peoples. May his soul rest in peace!"
