KCDK-E calls for urgent action to embrace Rojava

KCDK-E calls on the Kurdish people living in Europe, Australia and Canada to urgently take to the streets to “embrace Rojava, where Leader Öcalan’s libertarian ideas are flourishing.”

The Congress of Democratic Societies of Kurdistan in Europe (KCDK-E) released a statement calling for urgent action in solidarity with Rojava and North-East Syria, where the Turkish state has been bombarding residential areas, infrastructure and service facilities since 12 January.

"Let us heed the call to increase solidarity with Rojava. The Turkish state is executing state terror against the components of the region. Although the peoples of Rojava do not want war, war is imposed by the occupying Turkish state. The peoples of Rojava have mobilised to defend themselves with all their strength. We call on you to stand up against these murderous attacks and take to the streets," said the statement and continued:

"The Turkish state, which imposes war in the Kurdistan geography and wants to perpetrate a genocide with massacres, is not satisfied with the already ongoing bloodshed. It targets all the gains of the Kurdish people through Kurdish enmity both inside and outside.

Under the pretext of losses in the ranks of its troops, Turkey carries out bombardments targeting the living spaces and supplies of the civilian population in Rojava. Intensified on 12 January, these attacks target civilian living areas and continue intensively.

We call on our people in all European countries, Australia and Canada to take an urgent stance and take to the streets to embrace Rojava, where Leader Apo's (Abdullah Öcalan’s) libertarian ideas are flourishing."
