KCDK-E call to join "people's meeting" in Maastricht

The KCDK-E called on all peoples and sections of society and all their friends to join the "people's meeting in Maastricht on 21 September and "to build a free life together".

The European Democratic Kurdish Society Congress (KCDK-E) issued a written statement to "urge everyone to raise their voices against the attacks of AKP-MHP fascism against Rojava, South Kurdistan and to protest the trustees by joining the ‘Peoples Meeting' in Maastrich on 21 September.

The statement reminded that "the Kurdish nation is implementing the democratic nation paradigm and the fraternity of peoples and beliefs. The women's struggle for freedom grew day by day and brought together all segments of society in the construction of social revolution."

KCDK-E Co-Presidency Council added: "Municipalities won by our people with a clear despite all anti-democratic, unfair election conditions were seized by the AKP regime.

In the Istanbul elections, which were repeated as the 31 March elections did not suit the AKP, Kurds gave a great historical defeat to AKP-MHP fascism and became a hope for democracy forces."

The statement continued: "The fascist regime, which appointed trustees to the metropolitan cities of Amed, Van and Mardin, now tries to maintain its existence by usurping the Kurdish will by appointing also trustees to Kulp and Karayazı provinces. As in every massacre and genocide, they play with the minds of our people by resorting to lies and tricks once again, hitting the sensitivities of the society, criminalizing the HDP."

The KCDK-E called on all peoples and sections of society, "women, youth, Kurds, Turks, Arabs, Persians, Assyrian-Syriac-Chaldeans, Armenians, Chechens, Circassians, Turkmen, Persians, Alevis" and all their friends "Christian, Yazidi, Muslim, Dutch, German, English, French and Belgian" to join the "people's meeting in Maastricht on 21 September and to build a free life together."
