Isolation of Ocalan protested in Locarno
An action was promoted in the city of Locarno, in the Canton of Ticino, in solidarity with hunger strikers and to demand the end of isolation against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Kurds living in the Swiss Canton Ticino have organised an action to express their support for DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven who is on hunger strike since November 8, 2018.
Nasir Yagiz has been on hunger strike for 82 days in Hewlêr, while Kurdish activists in Strasbourg have reached day 56 of fast.
Isolation against Öcalan has been protested during the action and a statement was read demanding the release of all political prisoners in Turkey.
Activists called on all people to support the hunger strikers and their demands.
