Iranian law enforcement forces raid home, kill 18-year-old girl in Nurabad

Iranian law enforcement forces raided the home of civilian Shokr-Reza Rahmani in the village of Guyzheh in Nurabad, Lorestan Province, on 20 June and killed his 18-year-old daughter.

Law enforcement forces raided the home of civilian Shokr-Reza Rahmani in the village of Guyzheh in Nurabad, Lorestan Province, on 20 June and killed his 18-year-old daughter, Raziyeh Rahmani, by shooting her in the head, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported. 

A relative of the Rahmani family confirmed the incident to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, saying: “On 20 June, law enforcement forces from the Cheshmeh-ye Sefid post in Nurabad raided the home of Shokr-Reza Rahmani in the village of Guyzheh without a court order, and one of the family’s children, Raziyeh Rahmani, was killed by a bullet fired by one of the officers, which hit her in the head.”

According to the source, “the officers raided the house under the pretext of discovering drugs, and during a verbal altercation between the family members and the officers, one of the officers targeted the family’s child with a handgun, shooting her in the head and killing her”.
