Evaluating the blast in Istanbul the Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay said they cannot say who carried out the attack and they will make a statement when they are very sure about it.

Answering the the questions from journalists Atalay said the attack is being examined in all its aspects. "I cannot give you details about the perpetrators. We need to be cautious and avoid quick statements. We will inform the press as soon as we reach a conclusion as we do not want anything speculative. For the time being, we cannot give any information about the identity and organisation connection of the attacker." added the Turkish Interior Minister.

Upon a question from the journalist whether a second attacker was present at the scene Atalay said the police has not determined a second person.
