People’s Defence Forces (HPG) released a statement, claiming responsibility for the killing of Mehmet Paksoy, a prominent village guard in Sirnak.
HPG said that Paksoy a.k.a Miho Ripinî is a member of Turkish counter-guerrilla organization and responsible for various crimes against Kurdish people.
Paksoy was an active commander of village guard units which often attends military operations against HPG guerrillas.
HPG said Paksoy was punished by a guerrilla unit operating in the region.
