HDP co-chair Sezai Temelli said: "The racist, expansionist, militarist and anti-Kurdish policies adopted by the AKP government are the greatest obstacle to the possible end of the Syrian civil war and a democratic political solution."

Temelli added: "We see that those who favored and protected ISIS before are now given the same duty again. It is a shame that Turkey has assumed the responsibility for the murderous gangs."

Temelli continued: "Mr Öcalan said that he could end this violent process in a week when he was allowed last time to see his lawyers. By taking his offer in account Kurdish issue could be resolved permanently through dialogue and the democratic methods. And there is a chance to do that."

The HDP co-chair addressed the international institutions and peoples and issued a call: "The United Nations and the entire international community, - he said - including the democratic public opinion in Europe and America should take steps to prevent this war. To the peoples and public opinion and institutions in Turkey we say: Take action against war. If action is not taken, we will be trapped in a darkness created by those who want to exercise power without compassion, power without political ethics, and power without understanding."
