HDP’s diplomacy move for forces of democracy

HDP delegation visited Germany and met with several political parties.

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) is making an extensive visit to Berlin at the chairperson level for the first time since 2016.

The committee headed by Co-chair Sezai Temelli includes MPs Mithat Sancar and Feleknaz Uca as well as HDP Germany Co-spokespersons Leyla Imret and Sinan Onal.

The visit will be today and tomorrow, as the HDP committee kicks off an important bout of diplomacy at a time when the Berlin administration has made announcements that a new period has started between them and the Ankara regime.

The HDP committee has met wih all political parties except the racist Alternative for Germany (AfD) to discuss Turkey’s administration that has turned into a one-man regime, and the issues migrants have in Germany.

HDP’s visit comes before the two-day visit to Berlin the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will hold on September 28. The party made important calls in the meetings with the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the large partner of the federal government, and other parties in the Federal Parliament.

CDU: A DEMOCRATIZATION PROCESS SHOULD START IN TURKEY

The HDP committee voiced the party’s stance on current political and economic developments in Turkey, Idlib and the crisis in Syria, the refugee crisis that directly affects Europe and Turkey-Germany and Turkey-EU relations.

The HDP committee first met with MP Dr. Andreas Nick in the name of the CDU/CSU Group Presidency. Dr. Nick, who is also the PACE Deputy Chairperson, said financial aid for Turkey, as the country experiences a severe financial crisis, should be made on the basis of democratization.
