HDP delegation meets with CPT officials in Strasbourg

The meeting discussed the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and violations of rights in Turkey’s prisons.

A delegation from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) has visited the Council of Europe Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) in Strasbourg, France.

The HDP delegation was made up of Foreign Relations Commission Co-spokespersons Feleknas Uca and Hişyar Özsoy.

During the meeting, the HDP delegation spoke about the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, as well as the ongoing hunger strikes in prisons and ever-increasing rights violations in Turkish prisons.

The HDP delegation conveyed the demands of the prisoners on hunger strike and their own proposals.
