HDP and DBP administrators detained in Ardahan

Turkish state forces conducted house raids in Ardahan province, its Göle district and Hoçuvan village in the early hours of Thursday morning. 10 people including administrators of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) have been taken into custody in the operation.
The detainees include HDP provincial co-chair Özcan Yılmaz, DBP provincial co-chair Mikail Çit, HDP provincial deputy chair Cengiz Kanmaz, HDP former provincial administrator Bahattin Aktürk and HDP Göle district co-chair Güney Kaya.
One of the detainees is accused of “spreading terrorist propaganda” while the other 9 are claimed to be a member of the “KCK provincial organization”. The detained politicians are held at the police department.
