HBDH and KBDH Europe call for action against Turkish invasion and genocide

Turkey’s invasion attacks on Avashin, Zap and Metina have a historical meaning and content beyond military terms, said the HBDH and KBDH, calling for expanded resistance and actions in Europe.

The Peoples' United Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) and the Women's United Revolutionary Movement- Europe (KBDH) said that it is an urgent task to expand the resistance against the genocidal attacks of the Turkish state and take action on 12 May.

In a written statement the HBDH and the KBDH called on all to expand resistance against invasion and genocide attacks of the Turkish state.

The written statement made by the HBDH / KBDH includes the following:

"The large-scale invasion attacks launched by the genocidal colonialist fascist Palace Regime (Erdogan’s government) on the Medya Defense Zones (MSA) on April 24 are continuing with intense psychological warfare. The invasion attacks on Avashin, Zap and Metina have a historical meaning and content beyond military terms.

'THEY ARE SEEKING A NEW GENOCIDE!'

The Turkish army is trying to avenge its defeat in Gare, to restrict the guerrilla's areas of action in Bakur (North Kurdistan), to eliminate the gains in Shengal, to intensify the siege and annihilation attacks on Rojava and Northeast Syria and to overcome crisis in Turkey. However, the main purpose is to create a corridor along the border and then to besiege and purge the MSA from the north and northwest, gradually paving the way for a new genocide. This means that the achievements of the Turkish revolution, as much as those of the Kurdistan revolution, would be undermined and eliminated.

'ALL GAINS COULD BE WASTED'

Revolutionary gains achieved by the resistance so far could be wasted if the enemy attack becomes successful. The MSA is the heart and pulse of our combined revolution and regional revolution as much as our Kurdistan revolution. This land of Kurdistan which has been liberated at the expense of the blood and lives of thousands of guerrillas is the stronghold of our united revolution and regional revolution. The colonial regime focused on the purge of this revolutionary stronghold with its latest invasion attacks.

The historic resistance of the guerrilla against the colonial occupation and genocide assault is continuing. The guerrilla acts as a safeguard to the attacks. But the enemy wants results at all costs. The enemy also receives support from imperialists and reactionary regional states, especially from the USA.

'THE CHAIN OF FASCIST ATTACKS SHOULD BE BROKEN IN MSA'

The guerrilla's resistance must be embraced inside and outside the country in order to frustrate such a large-scale strategic attack and invasion plan. Therefore, it is significant to raise the resistance in all parts of Kurdistan, especially in Bakur, in Turkey and in Europe. Breaking the chain of fascist invasion attacks in the MSA will not only mean the victory of the guerrilla but also ruin the fascist palace regime’s composure and pave the way for its defeat and dissolution.

'WE HAVE AN URGENT DUTY'

For this reason, the importance of expanding the resistance in Europe against this invasion and genocide attack of the fascist palace regime is obvious. It is an urgent task of the day to draw all progressive, revolutionary institutions and organizations and masses of workers in Europe into this resistance and to walk shoulder to shoulder with the guerrilla resistance.

EVENTS WILL BE STARTED ON MAY 12

A press conference and rally will be held on Wednesday, May 12, at 12:00 in Strasburg, the capital of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament, to kick off the campaign to expand the resistance. Indefinite-rotating sit-in protests will be carried out every week from Monday to Friday.

The first sit-in will be staged on May 12-14, by representatives of institutions from Kurdistan, Turkey and Europe, progressive intellectuals and artists. We call on all our constituents, immigrants from Turkey and Kurdistan to participate strongly in these actions, to appeal and mobilize the democratic community in Europe and to expand the resistance in Europe."
