'Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan' vigil in Frankfurt on day 4

The demonstration in Frankfurt for the freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its fourth day.

The vigil launched on February 23 in Frankfurt, Germany for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues.

The vigil will continue until February 27. The event takes place every day between 11.00 and 16.00 in Hauptwache.

Groups from Frankfurt, Gissem, Mannheim, Mainz, Darmstadt and Saarbrucken are attending the action which was initiated by the FCKD / KAWA Council components. Each day a different group deals with organization of the event. On the fourth day, young women activists have participated in the event.

The activists collected signatures as part of the "100 reasons, 100 thousand signatures" campaign launched by the Kurdish women's movement in Europe to prosecute Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On Saturday, the activists will meet the mobile "Öcalan Library" event which was launched in Saarbrucken city center. Frankfurt will be the last stop of the library that provides information about the Kurdish leader. The action will conclude with a rally.
