The demonstrators carried flags and banners of the YRC, the Young Women’s Movement, different social organisations and images of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan as well as posters with the inscriptions: "Freedom for Öcalan", "We follow the path of Leader Apo", "The captivity of Leader Apo is the captivity of mankind".

The rally started in front of the grand meeting hall at the western part of Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsoud neighbourhood. The demonstrators marched to the 15th February Square chanting non-stop slogans and gathered in front of the central office of the YRC.

There the youth lit a fire and adorned the name of "Apo" with flames.
