FCDK-KAWA, the umbrella organization of the Democratic Kurdish Community Centers in Hessen-Saarland, called for participation in the Newroz celebration to be held in Frankfurt on Saturday 23 March.
FCDK-KAWA issued a written statement titled "Let's turn Newroz into the Newroz of Freedom on the 30th anniversary of the martyrdom of Ronahî and Bêrîvan! Let's make the Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Solution to the Kurdish Question campaign a success!", calling on everyone to participate in the Newroz celebration to be held in Frankfurt on Saturday 23 March.
The statement said: "We must turn Newroz in Frankfurt into an all-out serhildan in order to achieve the success of the ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Solution to the Kurdish Question’ campaign, and we must once again protest our anger against isolation."
The statement underlined that Newroz will follow the determination shown at the demonstration held in Cologne on 17 February, and added: "We must show that we will not kneel or step back to the international conspiracy and all dirty methods of war used by the Turkish state.
We call on all our people and friends to make this the Newroz of Freedom on the 30th anniversary of the martyrdom of Ronahî and Bêrîvan."
The central Newroz celebration of 2024 will be held in Rebstock Park in Frankfurt. The celebration will start at 10 am.
