'European Forum for Peace Against War and Dictatorship' established

European Forum for Peace Against War and Dictatorship has been established in Rosa Luxembourg Foundation in Berlin, with the participation of 67 activists from different professions, many of whom have been recently forced to leave Turkey.

European Forum for Peace Against War and Dictatorship has been established after the meetings held on 17 and 18 December 2016 in Rosa Luxembourg Foundation in Berlin, with the participation of 67 activists from different professions, many of whom have been recently forced to leave Turkey.

The Coordination committee composed of Ahmet Nesin, Çetin Gürer, Defne Asal, Demir Kucukaydin, Engin Sustam, Filiz Koçali, Fuat Ateş, Hatip Dicle, Mehmet Faruk Öztürk, Mehmet Rauf Cutter, Mustafa Sarısülük, Nil Mutluer, Pınar Şenoğuz, Ragıp Zarakolu, Rotinda Polat, Sakine Essen and Selim Eskiizmirliler has invited all those who are in favor of the peace and freedom, to struggle side by side to make this common peaceful life desire real.

The full text of the declaration released by the European Forum for Peace Against War and Dictatorship is as follows:

"Against the bloody war that people of Turkey are dragged into and fascism that captives freedom, we are the academicians who are endeavoring for the truth. We are the journalists, writers, radio, television and media workers who advocate the right of the people to receive true information. We are the politicians who pursue the equality and fraternity of the people. We are the lawyers who struggle for the justice. We are the artists for free souls. We are the unionists who are striving for bread and roses. We are the women who do not bow-down to patriarchy, rape, and violence. We are the LGBTis, who are scream of the equality and freedom. We are the Kurds, Turks, Alawites, Jews, Armenians, Circassians, Greeks, Romans, Rums, Assyrians, Yazidis in brief; we are the people, who have been forced to displace for their freedom and justice demands.

We are the people who lost their jobs; whose rights to live, work, organize, assemble and express of ideas have been deprived of, who are threatened, whose houses’ were raided, faced lynching, tortured, have many cases against injustice court, blacklisted in the society, and facing a risk of the imprisonment sentence for demanding peace and freedom.

We are the people of Turkey, who came to Europe from where, Erdoğan and his illicit collaborates responding our demands of freedom and peace with the war clouds; cruelly crushing the life, imposed perpetuity of the bloody dictatorship of the ongoing state of emergency on the pretext of preventing the "coup attempt", restraining judicial independence to build a fascist regime, legitimizing violence, continuing to harass and rape the life.

We are declaring and affirming from Europe that we will stand out for our rightful demands of peace and freedom and we will keep struggling for building the social peace and democratization of Turkey immediately, wherever we are.

We are manifesting that "We will not hush" in spite of the Erdoğan's bloody war, racism, sexism, human rights abuses, oppression and lynch politics that showing us as a direct target and forcing us to live in the Europe and standing up together against the totalitarianism which destroying the life and its colors.

We are greeting fervently all of our comrades, who struggle for the sake of the freedom and peaceful common life desire from the road of the 'European Forum for Peace Against War and Dictatorship' and reaffirming our determination with enthusiasm from here, once again.

We ardently invite all those who are in favor of the peace and freedom, to struggle side by side to make this common peaceful life desire real."
