ESP called on the workers, the oppressed, and all those who demand freedom to unite against fascism and to fight against this coup policy.
The Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) joined the chorus of those protesting the parliament decision to strip three MPs of immunity on Thursday.
The ESP condemned the decision to revoke the parliamentary status to Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair and Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP Leyla Güven, HDP Amed MP, Musa Farisoğulları and CHP (Republican People’s Party) Istanbul MP Enis Berberoğlu.
The statement said: “This fascist regime continues on the coup tradition in various ways. The AKP's attacks are not limited to only deputies. After the local elections, HDP municipal co-mayors have been arrested and replaced by trustees.
The statement continued: “Attacking deputies Leyla Güven and Musa Farisoğulları by stripping them of their immunity is part of the politics of the ruling class against the working class and the oppressed. This government has no legitimacy.
We call on the workers, the oppressed, and all those who demand freedom to unite against fascism and to fight against this coup policy.”
