European Parliament in Brussels will host a press conference on September 1st focusing on the urgent situation in Northern Syria - the Turkish invasion, Europe’s security and an alternative to the Turkey deal.

The press conference will deal with the urgent situation in Syria in light of the Turkish invasion in Syria, the war against ISIS and the urgent humanitarian needs of the internally displaced persons and civilian population.

Representatives of the Kurdish and Syriac Christian peoples of Northern Syria will be present to report on the actual situation. These include;

- Saleh Moslem, Co-President of the PYD, one of the major Kurdish parties in the Democratic Self-Administration

- David Vergili as representative of the European Syriac Union. The Syrian sister-organisation (Syriac Union Party) is the Syriac Christian party participating in the same Democratic Self-Administration.

Other MEP’s involved in the situation are expected to shortly address those present as well.
