Ebu Xewla: We will continue to advance despite Syrian attacks

Deir ez-Zor Military Council forces will continue to advance to eastern bank of the Euphrates despite Syrian regime and Russia’s attack, the military commander of the organization said.

Speaking after the Russian and Syrian airstrikes that targeted forces loyal to Deir ez-Zor Military Council, Ehmed Ebu Xewla, the commander of the organization said that they will continue to advance to the eastern bank of the Euphrates.

Ebu Xewla called the airstrikes of the Syrian regime and Russia on their forces a 'hostile attack' and stated that this attack was aimed at preventing their fighters from advancing further towards the Euphrates River.

Deir ez-Zor Military Council recently started a military campaign against ISIS gangs that invaded Deir ez-Zor city. The organization made rapid gains against ISIS from the north as Syrian army supported by Russia approached to the city from the south.

On Sunday morning Syrian regime and Russian warplanes bombed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions in Sina region.

In an interview with ANHA news agency Ebu Xewla said that the attacks of the Syrian regime and Russia against their forces will not succeed in diminishing their fighters' determination, who are advancing steadily towards the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

"After the attacks, our forces liberated the sugar factory and electricity station and this makes the true courage of our force evident" Ebu Xewla said.

Ebu Xewla accused the Surian regime and Russia of slowing down the SDF’s advance against ISIS.
