The frame organization of Kurdish NGO and political organizations Democratic Society Congress (DTK) will launch a campaign to protect Kurdish language.
DTK is organizing a demonstration tomorrow in Diyabakir and will declare the start of the campaign afterwards.
DTK co-presidents Ahmet Turk and Aysel Tugluk will also attend the demonstration and hold a press conference to give the details about the aim and the program of the campaign .
The participants of the I. Kurdish National Culture, Art and Literature Conference will be present in the press conference.
The demonstration will start at 13 tomorrow afternoon.
Nearly 20 million Kurds in Turkey have no right for education in their mother language. Until 1991 even speaking Kurdish in public was prohibited in Turkey.
At the start of the first education semester this year Kurdish organizations called students to boycott schools in Kurdish region for a week.
The boycott campaign was a success with a participation rate of nearly 90 percent in some Kurdish cities.
