Deputy Mayor of Beykoz remanded in custody

Fidan Gül, the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz District Municipality, who was detained on Tuesday within the scope of the “bid rigging” investigation, was remanded in custody.
In the scope of an investigation conducted by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, proceedings were initiated against 12 people, including Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, on charges of “bid rigging” and “establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime, organization membership and assistance”.
The Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, Fidan Gül, who was detained on April 15, was referred to the courthouse after the procedures at the Istanbul Security Directorate's Anti-Financial Crimes Department.
Gül underwent a health check and after her interrogation at the prosecutor's office, she was referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace on Duty with a request for arrest on charges of “bid rigging”. She was remanded in custody and sent to prison on the mentioned charges.
