DEM Party Youth Assembly issues call to attend 'Amara March'

The DEM Party Youth Assembly called on everyone to attend the 'Amara March' that will kick off in Amed on Tuesday.

The Youth Assembly of DEM Party issued a video call for a march planned for 1 to 4 April, from Diyarbakır to the Amara neighborhood in the Halfeti district of Urfa.

The march, organized under the slogan 'We are marching to freedom with a democratic society,' will begin in Diyarbakır (Amed) and follow the route through Siverek, Hilvan, Urfa (Riha), and Suruç, and will end in Amara, where Abdullah Öcalan was born.

The DEM Party Youth Assembly said that the march will mark the beginning of a new phase of resistance, grounded in Abdullah Öcalan’s 'Call for Peace and a Democratic Society.'

In the statement, all patriotic people and young individuals are invited to join the march and embrace the call for peace and a democratic society.

The statement read: "As the Youth Assembly of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), we are setting out from Diyarbakır on April 1 and marching to Amara. Between 1 and 4 April, our march will pass through Diyarbakır, Siverek (Sewerêg), Hilvan (Curnê Reş), Urfa, and Suruç (Pirsûs), before reaching Amara. We call on all our patriotic people to join us in this march."
