The Spanish union Confederación Intersindical issued a statement to condemn the Turkish invasion attacks in Rojava.

The statement said: "Taking advantage of the weakness of the Syrian government, which has seen Israel hit its allies hard, Islamist groups driven by Turkey have launched a lightning offensive that has allowed them to take control of a large part of Aleppo, Syria's second-largest city. The army has withdrawn, and the Islamists have taken control of a large part of it, beginning to fight against the neighbourhoods administered by the multinational government of Northeast Syria."

The statement added: "In reality, Erdoğan's objective is multiple: he intends to end the Syrian government, impose an Islamist solution, for which he has the control of different more or less fanatical factions, and put an end to the revolutionary experience of Rojava, perceived as a threat since the Kurdish people who live subjugated within the borders of Turkey look towards Rojava with hope."

The Spanish union called "for maintaining solidarity with the struggle of the Kurdish people. We defend Rojava and we defend Kurdistan. We condemn the extension of the war and reject Erdoğan's plans to see the current phase of the regional conflict as a way out through the rise of political Islamism and the crushing of Kurdish resistance."
