The Communist Party of France (PCF) sent a message of solidarity to the HDP via its Twitter account.

The message said: "Under the Erdogan regime, a policeman can act like a gang member and threaten an opposition MP with death with complete impunity."

The PCF expressed its solidarity with Ayşe Acar Başaran and all HDP elected officials and voters.
