Republican People’s Party (CHP) presidential candidate Muharrem İnce has recently appealed to the Ministry of Justice to meet with Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş who is imprisoned in Edirne since November 2016.

Speaking about the planned meeting, Justice Minister Abdülhamit Gül said “Of course we will give a positive answer to İnce’s appeal.”

Before the Minister’s statement, Muharrem İnce said; “I will visit Demirtaş on Wednesday.”

In his first statements after his nomination as presidential candidate, İnce said; “I cannot wrestle by tying my rival’s arm up. The wrestling will be a brave and courageous one.”
