Chilean activists in Stockholm call on people to join boycott

A group of Chileans living in Stockholm, organised an action to boycott Chilean products to condemn the government for violating human rights.

Gathering in Sergelstorg Square, a group of Chileans carried banners demanding to boycott Chilean products.

Activists listed their demands as follows: “Let’s condemn the human rights violations of the Chilean state. The partnership agreement planned to be signed between Chile and Sweden should be stopped. Boycott Chilean products to end police violence against demonstrators."

Vania Ramirez Leon told ANF about the developments in Chile and said that since October 2019, when the protests against the government started, 25,000 demonstrators have been arrested and many of them have been tortured.

Reminding that 300 of those arrested were children, Leon said: "We are calling on our brother peoples to boycott Chilean goods, and the Swedish government to stop arms sales to Chile."
