CDK-F and TJK-F call for participation in action for Öcalan to be held in Paris on Saturday

CDK-F and TJK-F called on all patriotic Kurdish people and their friends to the action for Öcalan to be held in République Square in Paris on Saturday, 7 September at 14:00.

CDK-F and TJK-F said in a written statement: "In the recent process, it has been seen that the isolation condition exceeding 42 months imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abullah Öcalan is the biggest obstacle to the freedom of the peoples of the Middle East and the world."

The statement called on everyone to participate in the action for Abdullah Öcalan to be held in République Square in Paris on Saturday, 7 September at 14:00, and added: "It is understood that the capitalist modernist system does not tolerate democratic modernity, that is, the hope of the people for a new life. In order to break the isolation imposed on Leader Öcalan as soon as possible and to provide the conditions for physical freedom, the ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a political solution to the Kurdish question’ initiative was launched on 10 October 2023. Our people have supported the initiative, especially with the Cologne March, 8 March and Newroz."

The statement added: "It is the fundamental responsibility of all of us to start a new breakthrough process of the movement that has entered the second phase in the strongest way. The tendencies developed against the move have intensified further with the KDP betrayal in Kurdistan, the increase in brutal attacks against Media Defense Zones and the annexation policy of the occupying Turkish state of Bashur Kurdistan have come to light."

The statement continued: "In Europe, the policy of surrendering Kurdish activists to Turkey and intimidating them by punishing them has emerged. In such a process, we will take to the streets in Paris on 7 September, with the slogan 'We are in the Fields Against Isolation, Occupation and Annexation' within the scope of the initiative. We invite all our patriotic people, and our friends, to our march with this historical responsibility."
