At least five Kurds were injured in a bomb attack against a demonstration in Silvan, a district of Diyarbakir province.
According to eyewitnesses an unknown assailant threw hand grenade among demonstrators commemorating victims of Turkish military operation against leftist prisoners which left 28 dead and hundreds wounded.
Five Kurdish demonstrators were wounded eyewitnesses said. Two of the wounded reported to be in a serious condition.
Abdullah Eflatun, the provincial leader of the BDP in Silvan, claimed the hand grenade was thrown into the crowd by police officers. Following the explosion, demonstrators clashed with police, who used pressurized water and teargas to disperse the crowd.
