Activists from the Dest-Dan Women's Council and the Nav-Berlin association laid a black wreath in front of the French embassy in Berlin in memory of the victims of the attacks on Kurdish activists in Paris. With the action, the activists protested against the contract killing of Sakine Cansız (Sara), Fidan Doğan (Rojbîn) and Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahî) by the Turkish secret service MIT on 9 January 2013. January 2013 at the Kurdistan Information Office in Paris and the armed attack on the nearby Ahmet Kaya Cultural Centre almost ten years later, in which Evîn Goyî, Mîr Perwer and Abdurrahman Kızıl were shot dead on 23 December 2022.

The activists noted that no one has been convicted of the attacks to date. The contract killer Ömer Güney, who was arrested after the first attack, died in prison under suspicious circumstances shortly before the start of the trial in December 2016, and the case is being treated as a state secret by the French domestic intelligence service. Because the French state did not take a stand despite clear evidence that the MIT was responsible, there was another deadly attack on a Kurdish organisation in Paris ten years later, said the activists, vowing that the fight for justice will continue until those responsible for both attacks are brought to justice.

During the action in front of the French embassy, the activists shouted a slogan that has been used by the Kurdish women's movement for many years: "Sara Rojbîn Ronahî, Jin Jiyan Azadî!" A Europe-wide demonstration demanding justice, transparency and investigations free from political influence will take place in Paris on Saturday.
