BDP: Erdogan is trying to provoke war

Co-president of the Peace and Democracy Party (BPD) Gultan Kisanak accused Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of provoking war.

Kisanak spoke to the reporters about Erdogan's remarks about BDP, after the first day of so-called KCK trial in Diyarbakýr.

She said that the Turkish prime minister is provoking war with his statements and called Erdogan to avoid using the 'language of provocation'.

Kisanak also said that the trial against Kurdish politicians is an act against democratic politics and Erdogan's accusations to the BDP won't help Turkey on the aspect of developing a solution to the Kurdish problem.

Erdogan said on Sunday that the BDP is following democratic politics in his party's meeting in Bolu.

Kisanak answered Erdogan by pointing the statements of the Prime Minister which threatened voters who will join the boycott before the constitutional referandum on 12 September.

Erdogan's AKP set fines against the boycotters who did not cast their ballots on the referendum.

Despite the threats an overwhelming majority in Kurdish cities joined the boycott campaign.
