Kurdish Director Hisham Zaman's short movie "Bawke" has been selected as best film of the last ten years in Norway. The movie draws attention to refugee's problems by observing a Kurdish father and his son who are stuck between borders.

Kurdish Director Hisham Zaman's short Movie "Bawke" has been selected as best film of the last ten years according to a research by Rushprint magazine, in Norway. Rushprint selected 10 best movie out of 2 thousands film shot between years of 2000-2010. In the first ten list of Norway , while "Bawke" is selected as first movie, Ole Giaever's film "Tommy" is second, Charlotte Blom's "kokos" is third. in the competition "Poet from Danmark", that is directed by Toril Kove and won Oscar in 2006, and Bobbie Peers movie "Sniffer", that won the "grullpalme", entered to the list but they drop back on the list. awards are given at an orginised night in Oslo. Kurdish Director Hisham Zaman talked in ceremony and said "this award is very important for me, ""Bawke" movie is in an important place in my life".

A STORY THAT IS STUCK BETWEEN BORDERS: BAWKE

“Bawke” movie is first short movie of the Kurdish director Hisham Zaman. and it was shot in 2005 in Norway. Untill now, it joined around 50 festivals and broke a record by having more then 40 prizes.

The film, that is for 15 minutes , examine deportation story of a father and his little son. Director attracts attention to a tragedy while explain story of people who are stuck in borders in a short time. when father is sent to his country, that he came by police, he leaves his son in Oslo. film is end with these darkness.

"Tommy" that is directed by Ole Giaver, who appears in young talents, is telling story of two friends who are living in mountains. it emphasis to fellowship and criticizes the relations that are harmed by capitalism in our age. Charlotte Bloom, who got the best Nordic movie prize in Golden Chair Short Film Festival, reflects the story of a couple to white screen with her film "Kolos". ‘

BEING SELECTED AS BEST MOVIE OUT OF 2 THOUSANDS FILM IS GRATIFYING

Hisham Zaman is now studying on an other deportation story. "Soran Way" that's shootings are started ftom Kurdistan telling about a youth's way story that start from Kurdistan to Europe.

Hisham Zaman told that this award is important for him. being the first movie between 2 thousands film is gratifying. He says that "Bawke is my first movie, I learned many things from that movie. because of that it is very important for me."

He says that he talked with many Kurdish refugees before shooting of the movie. He says that "I met and lived with refugees. After all of these that kind of script appeared. There isn't only one person's story. There is story of thousands Kurdish refugees. My aim was to show ruthlessness of the systems and injury of people by these systems. The movie is shown in tens of festivals and in all around the world it got around 40 prizes. the last prize that is given in Norway as the best of the last ten years is gratifying."
