Ayna: AKP implementing policies of assimilation

BDP Mardin MP Emine Ayna stated that AKP (Justice and Development Party) government has put new assimilation policies into effect, saying; “So-called Kurdish AKP representatives will come to you and ask for your votes. They will say ‘We are also Kurdish and working for you. Vote for us’. Then, you can reply them like; “If you are also Kurdish, then why do you say ‘One language and one nation’ before your Prime Minister?’

In Mardin for to the Feast of Sacrifice, BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Mardin MP Emine Ayna held a speech in Duruca town, addressing to people.

In her speech, Ayna pointed to the ceasefire decision by KCK and added; “The government is trying to develop the pretended Islam and make Kurdish people AKP supporters. They have mobilized all applications including Family Practice and guidance units in order to face down Kurdish people, to overpower them and to impose on their religious sensations. However, Kurdish people have paid so many prices that they won’t be deceived. They shall not tell us about Islam. They will bring you together and try to deceive you by saying; ‘We are Muslims and working for you. Do not go against the state as AKP is doing something good’.  But such pretended Islamic circuits won’t dissuade Kurdish people from their proper struggle. Don’t allow them”.

Following her speech, Ayna held another speech in Girmeli town. Pointing to the election in June 2010, Ayna remarked that people mustn’t believe in empty promises. Ayna spoke as follows; “So-called Kurdish AKP representatives will come to you and ask for your votes. They will say ‘We are also Kurdish and working for you. Vote for us’. Then, you can reply them like; “If you are also Kurdish, then why do you say ‘One language and one nation’ before your Prime Minister? Although we don’t work much in Kurdistan, we know very well that people will protect their own political party and rights”.

Following her speech, Ayna visited the funeral home in Girmeli Village with the committee by her. Ayna and the committee afterwards went to Kantar (Qantar) Village and returned to Nusaybin.
