Australian government takes back 8 children from ISIS families

The Australian government has taken back 8 children from ISIS member families following the official procedures with the Northern and Eastern Syrian Autonomous Administration.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison issued a statement and said, “We have officially taken back 8 Australian children who come from ISIS member families from the Hol Camp. The children are aged between 2 and 17.” Australian media wrote on the matter, “The children taken back are 3 sons of ISIS member Xalid Sheruf, and 2 are his grandchildren. Xelid Sheruf was born in Australia, and was killed in an International Coalition bombing. The other children are children of an ISIS member named Rezovitch.”

Australian Foreign Ministry Representative John Philip visited Northern and Eastern Syria on June 22 to hold meetings with the Autonomous Administration.
