Arrested HDP MPs and Co-mayors vote in prisons

HDP and DBP co-chairs, 11 MPs and 83 co-mayors cast their “No” votes in prisons around the country.

HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, DBP (Democratic Regions Party) Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel, 11 HDP MPs and 83 co-mayors cast their votes in the prisons they are held in.

Demirtaş voted in Edirne Type F Closed Prison and Yüksekdağ voted in Kandıra Type F Closed Prison. Arrested HDP MPs Çağlar Demirel, Gülser Yıldırım and Besime Konca voted in Kocaeli Type F Closed Prison No.1, Nursel Aydoğan, Meral Danış Beştaş, Selma Irmak, Nihat Akdoğan and Ayhan Bilgen voted in Silivri Closed Prison No.9, Abdullah Zeydan voted in Edirne Type F Prison and Ferhat Encu and İdris Baluken voted in Kandıra Type F Closed Prison.

83 co-mayors including Amed Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı voted in prisons.

Arrested DBP Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel voted in Silivri while Kongreya Jinên Azad (KJA) Spokeswoman Ayla Akat Ata voted in Kandıra.
