Arab League: Turkey violating sovereignity with occupation

The Arab League met today and called Turkey's military operation an "invasion of an Arab state's land and an aggression on its sovereignty".

In a statement the Arab League rejected any Turkish attempt to impose demographic changes. The League called for an end to the aggression and Turkey's immediate and unconditional withdrawal from all Syrian territories.

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, secretary-general of the Arab league, called Turkey's military operation an "invasion of an Arab state's land and an aggression on its sovereignty".

Gheit said the offensive had resulted in a new wave of displacement and jeopardises "achievements" made in fighting ISIL.
