AGIF reacted to the Merkel government, which banned the Kurdish Culture Festival to please the AKP and invited everyone to Düsseldorf on Saturday.
The German Migrant Workers' Federation (AGIF) made a written statement about the banning of the 26th Kurdish Culture Festival.
“The 26th Kurdish Culture Festival has been banned as a gesture to please the fascist AKP government”, said the statement, adding: “The Merkel government has entered the Turkish mentality of enmity with Kurds by favouring its dirty deals with the Turkish state”.
The statement added: “This political decision taken before the visit of fascist Erdogan to Germany is a scandalous concession given to a dictatorship which ignores human rights, democracy, freedom of the press, and practices violence and massacres..."
Call to join meeting in Dusseldorf
At the end of the statement, AGIF said: "We are urging migrant workers and laborers to reject this arbitrary anti-democratic stance by the German state and to join the rally in Platz des Landtags in Dusseldorf.”
