Activists in Switzerland protest the Turkish invasion of Zap, Avashin and Metina

Kurds and their friends took to the streets in Bern, Geneva, Basel, Zurich and Lucerne in Switzerland to protest the invasion attacks of the Turkish state against Zap, Avashin and Metina.

BERN

Responding to KCDK-E's urgent call for action, Kurdish residents protested the Turkish state's attacks targeting the Medya Defense Area.

People rallied at Bahnhofplatz. Activists reads statements in German condemning the attacks and calling for solidarity with the Kurdish people.

Speaking on behalf of the Bern Kurdish Community Center, Ali Rıza Çiçek said that the struggle against fascism should be increased. Çiçek said: "The Kurdish people will continue to be in the streets to protest the Turkish occupation."

BASEL

People in Basel gathered at Claraplatz to commemorate the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and to condemn the Turkish attacks against the Medya Defense Areas.

The anniversary of the genocide against the Armenian people was also protested in the action.

Speaking at the action, the Democratic Forces representative said that the occupation and massacre attacks continued uninterruptedly. He stated that the same mentality of the Turkish state's massacres against the Armenian people 106 years ago continues today.

Armenians and Kurds called for collective struggle against the attacks on the ancient peoples of the Middle East.

Kurds and democracy organisations also took demonstrated in Zurich, Lucerne and Geneva.
