Activists in Nuremberg paid tribute to martyrs of freedom.

Activists in Nuremberg paid tribute to the PKK Central Committee member Kasım Engin, who fell martyr following the air attack on 27 May this year as well as to the martyrs of the resistance in Diyarbakır prison against the brutality of the 12 September 1980 coup, Committee Member Mehdî Şakir Ebdî (Polat Herekol) and the Kurdish politician Hisên Çawis (Herekol).

The commemoration was organised in the Medya People’s House hall.

Speaking at the memorial, PYD Nuremberg Representative Naime Hasan said: "We pay tribute to all the Kurdistan martyrs. If we want to follow on their path, we must protect our leadership and the struggle for freedom."

Following the speeches, there was the screening of a video about the 14 July Great Death Fast resistance and the life and struggles of PKK Central Committee Member Kasım Engin and Polat Herekol.
