Activists in 3 Swedish cities protest Turkish attacks

Kurds and their friends protested the Turkish state's attacks in several Swedish cities.

Demonstrations were organised in Gothenburg, Malmö, Örebro and Helsingborg in Sweden.

Gothenburg

Kurds and their friends gathered in Brunn Park around 1 pm to join an action to condemn the Turkish state's genocide attacks on South Kurdistan and Rojava.

The action organised by the PJAK Gothenburg Committee was supported by the Martyr Sema Committee and the Gothenburg Democratic Kurdish Community Center.

Activists called on the international community to take action and put pressure on the Turkish state.

Malmö

Kurds living in Malmö condemned the Turkish state's attacks on South Kurdistan and Rojava with an action organised in front of the monument in Möllevågtorget Square.

Örebro

Speaking in the demonstration organised at Våghustorget, the Swedish Democratic Kurdish Community Center co-chair Rıdvan Altun said that the Turkish state bombed Kurdistan by violating all international laws and conventions.

Reminding that the international community had great responsibilities to stop the attacks of the Turkish state, Altun called on the Swedish people to boycott Turkish tourism and products.

The spokesperson of the Barin Women's Association, Zozan Baransson, said that ISIS mercenaries on the one hand, and the Turkish state on the other committed massacres against women in Rojava and South Kurdistan. Baransson called on all civil society organizations, especially women's organizations, to take an attitude towards the Turkish state.

Helsingborg

A demonstration was held in Helsingborg to denounce the Turkish attacks on South Kurdistan and Rojava. Activists called the Swedish government and the European Union to take a clear stance against the Turkish state genocidal attacks on Kurdistan.
