Şerif Mesutoğlu on hunger strike for 104 days

Şerif Mesutoğlu, who was sentenced to twice aggravated life imprisonment, has been on hunger strike for 104 days, demanding a fair trial.

In the case opened for the murder of Muhammet Fatih Safitürk, Governor of Derik (Mardin), Şerif Mesutoğlu was sentenced to twice aggravated life and 18 years of imprisonment and has been on hunger strike for 104 days.

Şerif Mesutoğlu's wife, Saime Ates Mesutoğlu, visited her husband in Siverek T Type Prison on Friday. She said he lost 29 kilos. 

The woman demanded that the decision is reviewed by the Supreme Court and a fair trial is granted.

Saime Mesutoğlu said that her husband has been on a hunger strike for 104 days, demanding a fair trial. 

Mesutoğlu's wife called on the authorities and the people to act quickly, as her husband won't call off his hunger strike if a fair trial is not granted.
