Şenyaşar family receives visits of support at their Vigil for Justice

Dilan Izol, who lost her family following an attack carried out by relatives of AKP former deputy Zülfükar Izol, visited Emine and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who continues their “Vigil for Justice” in front of Urfa Courthouse.

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar are demanding justice for Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar (Emine’s husband), and Celal and Adil Şenyaşar (Emine’ sons) who were killed by the bodyguards and relatives of AKP deputy Ibrahim Halil Yıldız before the elections in Suruç, Urfa, on 24 June 2018. The protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse continues on its 16th day.

The Şenyaşar family is receiving visits by people who want to express their solidarity and support.

Today, Dilan Izol, who lost her mother, father, sister-in-law and cousin following an armed attack carried out by relatives of AKP former deputy Zülfükar Izol for a land dispute in Çeltik, Siverek district on 15 June 2019, visited the Şenyaşar family.

Speaking with Emine Şenyaşar for a while, Izol, who survived the attack on her family, said that the massacres were similar and that they supported the family's Vigil for Justice.

Hakkı Izol, Zozan Izol, Meryem Izol and Serdar Izol were killed on 15 June 2019 while Dilan Izol, survived the attack.

Dilan Izol said that brothers of Zülfikar Izol, a former MP of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) were among the people who carried out the attack and added that the reason for it was a family land dispute.
