Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan's lawyers Raziye Turgut, Rezan Sarıca, Serbay Köklü and İbrahim Bilmez have applied to Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to meet with their client.

After 8 years of total isolation, Öcalan’s lawyers were able to meet with their client on 2 May, 22 May, 12 June, 18 June and 7 August 2019.

The requests for visits submitted by the Asrin Legal Office have not been answered by the Public Prosecutor's Office since 7 August 2019.

The tightly guarded prison island of Imrali, where the Kurdish leader has been held since 1999, is completely sealed off from the public.
