65 Kurdish smugglers killed in Iran in 2010
According to ANF’s records at least 65 Kurdish smugglers were killed in Iran’s border region since January 2010.
Two more Kurds, Othman Muhammedi and Mahmoud Minehzaded were killed in Iranian-Iraqi border last week. Their bodies were taken from Iranian soldiers by their relatives and buried in Mahabad.
Locals reports say 18 more Kurds were killed in border region in the last two weeks. But there are no details avaible.
On December 9, to Kurdish smmuglers were frozen to death near Piransahr in the border region.
In last years killing of smmuglers raised dramatically as Iranian army deployed thousands of troops in Turkish and Iraqi border.
Only in 2009 at least 90 smmuglers were killed by the Iranian army.
