33 people detained in three cities

At least 33 people have been detained in house raids in Ankara, Adana and Mersin.

33 people have been detained on allegations of “terrorist propaganda” for their social media posts.

ANKARA

Simultaneous house raids were carried out in Ankara in the morning hours. 15 people have reportedly been detained on allegations of “membership to a terrorist organization” and “terrorist propaganda” through social media posts.

Some of the detainees are: Gülistan Yavuz, Ahmet Altunkılıç, Şahin Topuz, Serpil Köksal, Ramazan Karakoç, Hayati Konukçu, Tayfun İşçi and Umut Yılmaz.

ADANA

Simultaneous house raids were carried out in Adana’s Yüreğir, Sarıçam and Ceyhan districts this morning.

18 people were detained in the house raids.

MERSİN

Three people were detained in house raids in the morning hours in Mersin.

Muhittin Uluçay, Uğur Avcı and United Revolutionary Party Caucus Member Cansu Esenli have been detained after searches in various addresses.
